Mother’s Day is coming up!

Many of my clients are moms and they do it all…

I love buying presents, I love wrapping presents (I am an experienced gift wrap stand employee—best Christmas break job ever) and I especially love giving them. Here are a few ideas for a mom or mom to be in your life (or a May birthday, hint hint):

Mother's Day Gift Ideas

  1. For the Health Nut that likes to Cook: Vitamix; $375-$400; Costco, Amazon, Vitamix.com
    Sidenote: the Vitamix is amazing and worth every penny! We use ours almost daily for smoothies, dips, soup, ice cream, sauces, salsa…everything. Another idea for the cook in your life: this awesome ipad stand that does everything but actually make your food.
  2. For the Athlete: Old Navy Active Semi-Fitted Tank on sale; $12.50
    Then send her to Pilates & Pinot May 2! Another idea: Giftcard to her favorite Activewear store (Athleta, Old Navy, Lululemon).
  3. For Anyone: Kendra Scott Elle Earring; $52; Norstrom, Neiman Marcus {on my wishlist!}
  4. For Mom or your favotie Yogi: Alex and Ani Bangle, with Mom Charm (they also sell a Lotus and an Om); $24-$28; Bloomingdales, Nordstrom
    Another idea my client Sarah shared with me: she loves her necklace from here: http://market.origamiowl.com/
  5. Opi Nail Polish in Cajun Shrimp; $8; Amazon, Ulta. Add a gift card to her favorite nail salon or spa for a massage! (Some of my clients told me their husbands are so good they even make the appointment).
  6. Plants! Giftcard to Pikes Nursery or better yet, buy some fresh herbs and plant her a garden (another client idea—thanks Rachael)!

Happy Mother’s Day and Happy Birthday to all my May Birthday Buddies! Now conveniently leave this up on your computer-HI THERE-HINT HINT!

What are some of your favorite gifts you’ve given or received? Favorite gift I’ve given: Tie! Signed Auburn footballs to my brother and husband (boyfriend at the time) from Auburn’s 2004 SEC Championship winning season. My brother thought it was printed! Or surprising my mom with a birthday girls trip to Charleston and her best friend flying in from Toronto to join us. Favorite gift I’ve received: Also a tie. The gorgeous earrings my family all got me for my 30th birthday or a three way tie when my nieces and nephew gave me a manicure kit, homemade cards, and earrings (because my nephew noticed I like turquoise) for Christmas last year, so thoughtful from such little people! -Michelle
